The UHY Hacker Young East team based in Letchworth, Cambridge and Huntingdon, took on the three major peaks in the Yorkshire Dales on Friday 26 August, to raise vital funds for Tom’s Trust, which provides psychological support for children with brain tumours and their families.
The 13-stong team decided to raise money for Tom’s Trust because they worked closely with Tom’s father, Andrew Whiteley, and it is a charity close to their hearts.
Smashing their £4,000 target by raising £4,040 means four children and their families will be given the mental health support they need for the next year.

Marie Pegram, Partner at UHY East said: “It was tough going! We had sweat, tears and lots of blisters but we worked together as a team and encouraged each other. We also had the rest of the team in the office sending us motivational messages of support. It was such a proud moment for us all at the finish line knowing that we have raised over £4,000 for Tom’s Trust.”
