StageYou.TV, founded by Deepamala Abeysekera – a Sri Lankan entrepreneur and alumna of the University of Cambridge Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship at the Judge Business School – is a new online talent show for the performing arts.
The idea is that anyone can upload their performance to the website for free, get rated for their talent and be ‘discovered’ by the public, celebrities and talent scouts.
StageYou.TV is a platform for user generated contests and also caters to users who want to simply perform as part of their self expression without the pressure of a competition.
Deepamala is passionate about this new venture which she developed while studying for the Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship.
