The charity, with its head office in Great Abington, has been accredited as a 3* World Class organisation and placed as the East of England’s 19 Best Companies to Work For. This is accolade is measured by an extensive survey, asking employees about different workplace engagement factors including: My Company, My Team, My Manager, Personal Growth and Wellbeing.
Alzheimer’s Research UK is also celebrating being named as one of UK’s 100 Best Large Companies to Work For, placing 48, and Charity’s 3 Best Organisations to Work For, along with being shortlisted for a special award recognising the work undertaken on reducing their environmental impact.
Dedicated to better understanding, diagnosing, treating and reducing the risk of dementia, Alzheimer's Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity.
Since the charity was founded in 1992, Alzheimer's Research UK has funded over £38.2m in research in the East of England, where over 52,000 people are living with dementia. The charity is currently investing in 28 research projects in the area, including at the University of Cambridge and University of East Anglia, worth £7.5m.
Earlier this year, results for the Alzheimer’s drug, lecanemab, made history, proving it’s never been more important to continue supporting vital research to find life-changing treatments and one day, a cure, for people living with dementia.
