The company stepped up to receive the award for Best IPTV Technology or Service at the CSI 2014 awards at IBC 2014 in Amsterdam last night. Visitors to the show can see Home Reach at the Amino stand in the Connected World area – hall 14, stand J20.
Established in 2003 the CSI awards are among the most prestigious and competitive technology awards in the industry, designed to recognise and reward innovation and excellence in the cable, satellite, broadcast, IPTV, telco, broadband/OTT video, mobile TV and associated sectors. Earlier this year, Amino Home Reach received an award for Best Digital Home Service Innovation at the TV Connect 2014 show in London.
Amino Home Reach, which was launched earlier in the year, is a carrier grade home monitoring and control solution for operators looking to add a new service layer alongside existing entertainment offerings. Fully integrated with Amino’s set-top boxes – with the addition of a USB dongle – the complete service includes a cloud platform, customisable mobile apps and web portal, administration tools for subscriber support and a range of connected devices. Where subscribers only take broadband and phone services, Amino has also developed the standalone Amino Hub allowing operators to target their entire subscriber base.
Amino CEO Donald McGarva said: “We are absolutely delighted to win this prestigious accolade – our second major industry award for this solution during 2014. The appetite and interest in our Home Reach solution has been very strong at IBC this year and we would welcome people to come to our stand and see our innovative approach to this exciting new market opportunity.”
The awards are judged by a panel of industry experts drawn from senior representatives from broadcast technology industry from around the world. They independently assess shortlist and select the winners for the various categories.
