Andrew has a proven track record and exceptional list of cases on which he has acted as an advocate for international businesses and high net-worth individuals. He has previously been a Partner at three other law firms including an international City law firm based in Hong Kong and has spent four years as a Barrister at the Chancery Bar in London. Working closely with his clients to achieve the best and always offering the most cost-effective solution to any case, Andrew is an expert in commercial disputes, contract disputes (including shareholder disputes), insolvency, professional negligence and cross-border disputes. Always keen to encourage clients to avoid disputes, he is also skilled in mediation, adjudication and arbitration.
Birketts’ Litigation and Dispute Resolution Team is ranked as top-tier in both Legal 500 and Chambers 2021 rankings. The team has some of Birketts’ sharpest minds and more than a dozen Partners and expertise across property, corporate, regulatory, agriculture and shipping sectors. Lawyers routinely conduct litigation in the High Court and the Court of Appeal, typically with major London and international law firms as opponents, as well as engaging in commercial arbitration and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. Their strong links with proven junior and leading counsel in leading London commercial chambers make them a crucial asset in legal disputes for large businesses and high net-worth individuals.
