5-day Anthias Complete Hands-on GC & GC-MS(Image removed)Date: 11th - 15th November 2013 This course was specially developed in response to our participant’s feedback who wanted to have hands-on experience in the use and maintenance of a GC and GC-MS along with the essential theory that we previously offered. It will significantly improve your knowledge and learning through the practicals that we run. The 5-day Complete Hands-On GC & GC-MS course combines the 5 individual hands-on days covering Gas Chromatography, GC Maintenance, Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry, MS Maintenance and GC-MS troubleshooting. These courses are 50% theory and 50% practical in a lab environment. A free glossary on GC & GC-MS is provided with this course! Attendees are entitled to 2 hours consultancy with Anthias' experts at the end of the course. Book now and get a Complete GC and GC-MS theoratical and practical experience. Alternatively you can join us for the individual days or the courses can be grouped together to meet your needs. For a full course outline, contact us on courses@anthias.co.uk (Image removed)1-day Hands-on Gas Chromatography Theory and Methods Date: 11th November 2013 Spend the first part of the day learning the theory of gas chromatography and then use this knowledge to create split and splitless methods, perform manual and liquid autosampler injections and change oven temperature programs to optimise the separation of analytes detected with an FID. This course will cover the gas supplies, liquid autosampler, hot split and splitless injections, the analytical column and detection by FID and ECD. It is suitable for all levels of knowledge.
1-day Hands-on GC Maintenance Date: 12th November 2013 This one day course combines learning the reasons why maintenance is required, what happens if maintenance isn’t performed and the signs of when maintenance is needed along with practicals carrying out maintenance on a gas chromatograph. This course will cover maintenance of the liquid autosampler, inlet, column and FID/ECD and is suitable for those who have some knowledge of GC.
1-day Hands-on (GC)-MS Theory and Methods Date: 13th November 2013 This one day course will teach the theory of mass-spectrometry and then use this knowledge to create GC-MS methods, perform injections and change MS parameters to see the effects. This course will cover MSD theory and practicals on GC-quadrupole-MS. This course is suitable for those with some knowledge of GC.
1-day Hands-on (GC)-MS Maintenance Date: 14th November 2013 This one day course combines learning the reasons why maintenance is required, what happens if maintenance isn’t performed and the signs of when maintenance needed along with practicals carrying out maintenance on mass spectrometers. This course will cover maintenance of the quadrupole MS including tuning and ion source cleaning.
1-day Hands-on GC & GC-MS Troubleshooting Date: 15th November 2013 This one day course combines learning how to go about troubleshooting a GC or GC-MS instrument and what problems can occur, with real problem solving on the instruments and data analysis software. This course will cover troubleshooting the gas supply, autosampler, inlet, column, GC detector and MS including leaks, tune problems, MS method and identifying if the GC or the MSD is the problem. Feedback from past attendees“Everything, especially troubleshooting. I think this is the best course I have been on.” Abdullah Al Khalaf from the Saudi Food and Drug Agency (March 2013). “All of the course, especially troubleshooting.” Azaa Al Shamli, a Chemistry Specialist from the Royal Court Affairs (March 2013). “(I enjoyed the) problem solving exercises both practical and on handouts, with the in-depth explanation of GC components and troubleshooting. (It had) more practical exercises I will actually use at work.” Chemist in the Environmental Industry who attended the Hands-on GC, Maintenance & Troubleshooting courses. |
