The posts will enable two new independent non-executive directors to join the existing BBT Board, which takes responsibility for the strategic and commercial development of the campus.
With significant investment from the UK taxpayer, The Babraham Research Campus is widely regarded as one of the leading locations in the UK for the life science start-up and scale-up community to establish their enterprises. The aim of the campus is to create an environment where companies can focus on developing their science and build their businesses within the supportive and highly networked campus community; helping to create new medicines, jobs and growth, and maximise the impact of UK science.
There are currently 60 commercial organisations on campus, co-located with the academic community of the Babraham Institute.
Ideal candidates would have previous Board experience (but this is not essential), and experience and knowledge of any of the following:
- Property management and development.
- Links to leading corporates in the pharmaceutical sector/links to academia, particularly local academic organisations.
- Links to government and other hub connections with additional life science networks.
For the opportunity to be part of this dynamic and ambitious organisation, interested candidates are invited to send a CV with covering letter to BBTHR@babraham.co.uk
Closing date for applications is 12th October 2020. Interviews for short listed candidates are planned to take place shortly thereafter at the Babraham Research Campus, Babraham, Cambridge.
This is a remunerated position.
