Having originally been built around a central concrete “spine”, the building was made up of individual rooms and offices, which created a dark, dated working environment. Bidwells was keen that its new Headquarters would be light and contemporary, with a much more open, welcoming feel.
Conscious of the client’s needs and wish lists, the team designed a contemporary, completely flexible and agile working environment.
With the exception of the meeting rooms, there are no closed spaces or individual offices and very few employees have a fixed, personal workstation. Instead you’ll find large open-plan spaces with bench style desking and “touch-down” points. Standard office seating is available, but so is comfortable, quirky soft seating, providing flexible working options. There’s also a trendy cafe, a quiet meeting lounge and a large boardroom with folding walls, providing a completely flexible space.
The stylishly welcoming reception area not only provides a comfortable environment for visiting clients, it also doubles up to offer additional informal meeting and working spaces.
