Birketts’ Residential Property Team boosted by new Senior Associate

Senior Associate Laura Smith has joined the Birketts Residential Property Team, bringing with her more than 13 years’ experience in residential conveyancing.

Working at firms across the East of England and London, Laura most recently led the conveyancing department of an Essex law firm. She split her time between her own full caseload of matters, developing and mentoring team members, assisting with the development of precedent letters/templates and ensuring a structured, risk-adverse, high-quality approach to conveyancing throughout her team.

Now joining Birketts Legal 500 top-tier Residential Property Team, Laura with be working closely with Legal Director Amanda Angel and Senior Associate and Head of Enfranchisement Nicola Lebish, developing and training team members, seeking out business opportunities for the team and handling technical residential property matters. Her experience working with clients ranging from first-time buyers to high net worth individuals, and her expertise on mortgages, transfer of equity, transfers of part, equity release, declarations of trust and leasehold and freehold purchases makes her a fantastic addition to the team.
