BlueGnome wins the Queen’s Award for the first time for its outstanding achievement in substantial and sustained increase in export earnings over three 12 –month periods. BlueGnome has grown global sales by 167% since 2008 through a well-managed export expansion into over 40 countries which includes setting up operations in key markets in the USA and Singapore in addition to existing markets in Europe.
BlueGnome’s continued growth is reflected in a rapid increase in the company’s headcount and its recent move to a bespoke facility which is providing solid foundation for future growth.
Established in 2001, BlueGnome Ltd designs, manufactures and supplies micro-arrays for molecular genetic diagnostic tests along with software and related equipment. The key customer base is the laboratories around the world that carry out genetic testing. The company operates a business development strategy that is tailored to its specialist sector and customer base.
