Business lunch offers expert advice on raising business finance

At a business lunch taking place in Peterborough next week, Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce members will discover where they can turn to for funding when the High Street banks say no.

The event will provide free advice to businesses that may be looking for alternative funding sources to realise their growth plans, develop new products or implement turnaround strategies.

The guest speakers will be Chamber member Richard Jones, Managing Director at Bourne-based Pilot Fish. An experienced finance director and fully qualified accountant, Richard will be helping members understand the different routes available to finance new projects and large-scale redevelopments.

Speaking ahead of the event Richard said:  “Having worked in both the private sector and more recently for a number of social enterprises and co-operatives, I am looking for to sharing my experience as a finance director to help local companies find the finance for growth. My advice to businesses is always the same - plan ahead, be bold and don’t take no for an answer!”

The lunchtime event will also give businesses the opportunity to raise their own profile during a safari networking session, where delegates become more familiar with what other companies are offering and increase their own network of business contacts.
