The Cambridge march beings at 12.30 prompt on Saturday, 3 September from Parkers' Piece followed by speeches in the Market Square at approximately 1.30pm.
The marches are timed to send a message to MPs due to debate the UK’s membership of the EU on Monday 5 September when parliament reconvenes after the Summer break.
Keynote speaker will be local MP Daniel Zeichner, who will say: "Let me be clear. When the vote on the EU comes before Parliament, my vote will reflect the overwhelming result in Cambridge – to remain.
The Brexit vote was a huge disappointment to me and to many in Cambridge. But even in our city a quarter of people voted to leave the EU. There were many reasons why, such as failing to share prosperity and the fact that the centre right are in power across Europe spreading the politics of austerity.
Cambridge is a global city and many of our residents benefit from living, studying, working and retiring across Europe, we believe in retaining and strengthening Europe-wide standards of human rights and working rights, and building on European environmental protections.
But we can't just replay the arguments of the referendum. The 23 June changed Britain. Now we must be the ones fighting to shape post-Brexit Britain. I'm not willing to leave that to Boris Johnson, Nigel Farage and the hard-line Brexiteers.
Let Cambridge's voice be heard, and the voice of the 48% nationwide. Britain must be open and bridges must be built."
Other speakers will include Dr Mike Galsworthy founder of Scientists for EU, Gaia Aurora Costa, from The Pink Festival and ex-LibDem MP Julian Huppert.
The Cambridge March for Europe is at 12.30 on Saturday, 3 September starting from Parkers' Piece, CB1 1JF followed by speeches in front of the Guildhall on Market Square, CB2 3QJ at approximately 1.30pm.
