They joined some of the original founders of the Network - including entrepreneur Dr Hermann Hauser KBE and Lord Alec Broers, former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cambridge - who were to delighted to recognise how much it has developed and grown for Cambridge.
The party, the first business event in the newly refurbished University Arms Hotel, was an opportunity to mark both the longevity and success of the city's foremost networking organisation.
"Cambridge Network has been influential in the development and continuing growth of the Cambridge technology cluster," said the Network's CEO, Claire Ruskin. "We bring people together to keep sharing ideas and learning; we spot and try to fill gaps that help the whole environment thrive, for example shared training courses, peer groups and encouraging people to see all the job opportunities here.
"The Network has always enabled people from all sectors and all types of business to connect with each other for increased success. And we continue to achieve this ambition: what we’ve found as the Network has matured is that meetings of many sorts result in hugely valuable cross-fertilisation of ideas and best practice.
"We were delighted to welcome so many of our members and friends to the party and look forward to making productive connections and helping to grow individuals and businesses for many years to come."
