Business lecture- Professor Sir Richard Friend FRS, Cavendish Professor of Physics at the University of Cambridge
Tuesday 22nd January

Professor Sir Richard Friend leads the Optoelectronics Group at the Cavendish Laboratory. He has been at the forefront of development in plastic electronics, demonstrating that these materials can be used in a wide range of semiconductor devices including photovoltaic cells, light-emitting diodes and field-effect transistors. He co-founded Cambridge Display Technology in 1994, Plastic Logic in 2000 and Eight19 in 2010.

Ken Woodberry has responsibility for the lab's business-facing activities, including technology transfer, incubation, licensing, spin-outs, and other models for utilising the intellectual property generated by the lab's research groups.
