The CambridgeshireLive Business Awards 2022 are so important for commending the local business community and this year will be a testament to the tenacity and resilience of the region.
David Bartlett, Reach plc's audience and content director for the South East, said: "The business awards are a key fixture in Cambridge's calendar so I'm delighted to be able to announce their launch once more.
"There are so many wonderful businesses in the region doing truly ground-breaking work, and we would love to hear from as many as possible.
"As you'd expect the judging process is rigorous, but I believe this is one of the strengths of these awards.
"I can't wait to get back to the Great Hall at Kings to celebrate with everyone. It is always a special evening and it will be great to get back together again."
Past years have shown the overwhelming potential and success which thrives within the region. Previous winners have used the awards to raise their profile, attract new employees and have gone on to develop national and international success. Last year turned to the virtual world with broadcaster Ayesha Hazarika hosting the event live through our screens. Biotech firm Mogrify took home not one but two major awards on the night.
Pierre-Louis Joffrin, CDO, said: “We are honoured to have been awarded the HCR Hewitsons Award for Innovation in Business and Price Bailey Award for Business of the Year.
"We have an outstanding team of cellular reprogramming experts at Mogrify and this award is testament to their delivery of scientific, commercial and operational excellence.”
The AstraZeneca Award for Outstanding Contribution was won by Raspberry Pi, the creators of the pioneering single-board computer which has sold millions of units worldwide. Ayesha said judges had chosen a business “which has contributed and gone above and beyond to serve not only their county, but the entire globe”.
