CMR Surgical appoints Reynir Indahl as Chairman of the Board

CMR Surgical, the private company developing a next-generation system for universal minimal access surgery, today announces the appointment of Reynir Indahl as Director and Chairman of the Board.

 

Reynir Indahl is Senior Advisor and a former Partner at Altor Equity Partners, a Nordic Private Equity investment advisor to the Altor Funds. Reynir is also a Director of LGT Venture Philanthropy, the impact investing and philanthropy trust initiated by LGT.

Reynir was formerly CEO of Photonyx Ignis, Investment Director with Kistefos and an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company.  He holds an MBA with High Distinction (Baker Scholar) from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania.

Within the Altor portfolio of companies, Reynir is Chairman of Norsk Gjenvinning, the largest recycling and waste company in Norway; Chairman of Health and Fitness Nordic, the largest operator of gyms in the Nordic; Director of Curato Rontgen, the Norwegian market leader in medical diagnostics, and a Director a EDS, and oil and gas technology provider; and a Director of Navico, the market leader in leisure marine electronics. He has previously served as Chairman of SPT Group, and on the boards of Helly Hansen, AGR Group, Byggmax, Constructor, and Lindorff.
