COEL team leads creative design on new apartment scheme

The COEL interiors team has produced the design scheme for Cherry Tree Apartments; an exciting new housing development in Cherry Hinton. Marcus Johnson of Kirly Group Holdings Ltd saw the potential in converting the former Carl Zeiss office building in Cherry Hinton into residential flats, providing much needed housing for the local region.

The plans to convert the office site in Coldham's Lane into a boutique development of 33 apartments is an ambitious scheme which looks to be delivered to occupiers by summer 2021; offering ideal accomodation for young professionals. It is set in a perfect location with attractive gardens surrounding the flats, a lake opposite and quick access to both the city centre and the countryside.

Incredibly many of the negotiations took place during the lockdown and Marcus Johnson credits Howes Percival with helping them process the legal arrangements incredibly efficiently;

"We bought the site last month and moved very quickly with the assistance of law firm Howes Percival who turned around legal agreements faster than I believed possible. We actually agreed the price on a Thursday and completed at midday on Friday."

Local property company Bloomhall and 29 Architecture are part of the dynamic team which will be bring this project to fruition.
