As a core author of several key mathematics textbooks and with over 40 published papers, her influence in mathematics education extends nationwide.

During their visit, the guests observed a Year 7 algebra reasoning class focused on “binary,” which creatively integrated mathematics and magic to engage students in exploring mathematical principles. This innovative approach aimed to develop students’ number sense, algebraic reasoning, and symbol awareness, with a strong emphasis on practical application. After the class observation, students presented their project-based learning achievements. A standout project, “The Beauty of Academics,” involved Year 8 students creating artistic pieces to express their understanding of academic beauty, effectively combining aesthetic appreciation with creative thinking skills.

The visit concluded with a productive discussion on Yungu’s future curriculum development, led by the school’s principal, Ms. Feng Chen. With seven years as the leader of Yungu Secondary School, Ms. Feng is dedicated to building a competency-based education system that integrates holistic development and innovative practices.
