MarketPlace collaborates with local communities to deliver engaging, innovative, and dynamic creative experiences across the Fenland and Forest Heath areas of West Suffolk. As part of the Creative People and Places programme developed by Arts Council England and supported by National Lottery funding, MarketPlace aims to inspire and connect people through the arts.
Building on our previous work with MarketPlace on their branding, we were commissioned to develop materials for their FenCreators programme. This initiative offered 15 weeks of free, inspiring workshops to the Fenland communities of Chatteris, Whittlesey, and Wisbech. We created a distinct brand identity for the programme and designed a variety of promotional materials, including exterior banners, semi-circular flyers, and 4-page leaflets tailored for each location.
Subsequently, MarketPlace engaged us to design materials for an open-air gallery event in Mildenhall titled Look Up to the Skies. This unique art experience celebrated the 90th anniversary of The Great Air Race from Mildenhall to Melbourne. For this project, we designed a two-page flyer and map for the art trail, providing guidance, information, and historical context to visitors. The design harmonised with the FenCreators branding, ensuring consistency across MarketPlace’s initiatives.
Looking ahead, we are currently developing materials for a second open-air gallery event in Wisbech, building on the success of the Mildenhall project.
The materials we designed have been exceptionally well received, reflecting our commitment to delivering creative and impactful designs that resonate with the community.
