Deloitte marks ten years of Spring into Deloitte undergraduate programme

Deloitte is celebrating ten years of Spring into Deloitte, a two-day programme that introduces undergraduate students to the world of work. Since first launching in April 2013, Deloitte has welcomed over 1,000 students from Universities across the UK to learn about the firm and a career in professional services. Attendees can be fast tracked onto Deloitte’s Summer Vacation Scheme or Industrial Placement the following year, with over half (56 per cent) of last year’s attendees choosing to do so.

This month, Deloitte is hosting five Spring into Deloitte programmes during April for over 200 young people. The different programmes will allow an even more diverse group of people from different backgrounds and professional interests. Undergraduate students are encouraged to register their interest to join the 2024 programmes.

The programme will run in different locations and online throughout April:

  • Spring into Tax, Reading from 3rd to 4th April
  • Women in Business, Birmingham from 5th to 6th April
  • Women in Technology, London from 11th to 12th April
  • Young Black Professionals, London from 13th to 14th April
  • Virtual experience from 17th to 19th April

Jackie Henry, managing partner for people and purpose at Deloitte, said: “Over the past ten years, Spring into Deloitte has helped young people forge a career of their choice while giving the opportunity to learn more about Deloitte.

“We’re now offering even more bespoke programmes to open even more opportunities for young people. I’m excited to welcome them and see the journeys of these talented students through university and beyond.”

Chloe Tan, an associate in audit and assurance at Deloitte in Cambridge, attended Spring into Deloitte in 2019 and joined the graduate programme in 2021. Chloe said: “I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to meet the Deloitte team and start building my career from my first year at University.

“By the time I applied for the graduate scheme, I already had a good network of people who gave me advice as well as the confidence to take the next step in my future. It was a valuable experience to help me decide what I wanted from an internship as well as my future career.”
