Do you need to solve a business problem? ARU students can help

Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) are offering businesses to join them as a Live Brief partner organisation, where students help to come up with solutions.

Does your organisation have a business challenge or development opportunity that you need to tackle? Maybe something that keeps getting put off because you don’t have the spare capacity or specialist expertise?

What is a Live Brief?

A Live Brief is a joint project between an organisation and ARU students, usually lasting a couple of months – the business would set students a real-world challenge as part of their course, and they develop a solution.

The business gets the benefit of extra brains focused on the challenge, injecting new expertise and fresh perspectives that can help to innovate.

In turn, students benefit from professional feedback and gain valuable employability skills.

Case study:  ARU Business students worked with start-up Neurogether to produce a growth strategy.  Neurogether founder, CEO, and ARU alumni Utkarsh Gupta, said:

“The students were so capable that for me, the experience was more like working with fellow entrepreneurs.  It was a very valuable session, from which I’ve learned and gained so much that I can implement."

Case study:  ARU Computer Science students worked with digital technology consultancy Intergence to design software-based solutions for two projects focused on the Internet of Things and a recruitment system.

Anthony Osborn, Product Manager, explained: “The students questioned things in ways that we hadn’t thought about – probably something to do with having 50 bright minds around a new problem!  It was fantastic to see the range of different solutions they had to the problems we wanted to solve.”

I’m interested – what’s the next step?

ARU are looking to recruit new partners now.
