eg technology renew sponsorship of 2022 EIT Health Catapult

eg technology are pleased to announce they have renewed their sponsorship of the coveted EIT Health Catapult, in association with EIT Health.

EIT Health Catapult

The EIT Health Catapult is a unique competition that boosts the development and visibility of the most innovative start-ups in BioTech, MedTech and digital health, connecting them with leading experts and international investors.

The programme has been established to source and accelerate European start-ups by delivering high-quality, bespoke training in business modelling and planning, investment deal negotiation and specialised pitch preparation. Each year the programme recognises and awards the best business concepts, fast-tracking start-ups to become part of the EIT Health Community of world-leading companies.

eg technology will once again be sponsoring the award for the most innovative product within the MedTech category, by offering a total of 10 days’ worth of engineering expertise, split between the top three chosen applicants. This can be used towards the realisation of their innovation, with the winner receiving five days, the runner-up receiving three days and third place receiving two days of development time. The competition will progress to the semifinals stage in November where the winners of the most innovative product awards will be announced on the MedTech semi-final day.

Commenting on the competition, eg technology’s Associate Director, Rouzet Agaiby said “We are excited to once again sponsor EIT Health Catapult’s ‘most innovative MedTech product’ award, following on from the success of last year’s competition, through which Leuko, Orixha and INNITIUS benefitted from development time with our engineers. It has been a privilege to work with these past winners on developing their innovations and we hope that by extending our sponsorship to the 2022 competition, that we will help three more aspiring start-ups to realise their innovations”.

The team at eg specialise in taking medical devices and Labtech instrumentation from concept to realisation, bridging the gap between clinical innovation and market-ready products. eg have in-house expertise in software, electronics and mechanical engineering as well as industrial design, human factors, quality assurance and project management and this competition provides a perfect opportunity for start-ups to access and leverage this full spectrum of specialist knowledge in the key areas of product design and development within the MedTech sector.
