EON to weigh up energy innovation opportunities at Smart Grids Conference

Smart Grids Conference 2012 notes that the future UK generation portfolio will look very different to today. Changes in the production and use of electricity will necessitate changes in the way the UK energy market operates. Will it be all about producing energy? Or primarily providing capacity, balancing, and stability? This talk will look at the value and increasing importance of these services as well has how they could be provided.

A talk by Greg Payne, Director of Business Modelling & Software, EON plc at the event is entitled Weighing Up the Future of Balancing Services" .

Greg Payne (pictured)  has been working with E.ON in the UK since 2004. He currently works in Business Modelling at E.ON New Build and Technology, where his work includes modelling the interactions of legacy and new technologies in a decarbonising market.
