Following the care and treatment of one of FlexiTog’s employees on NCCU earlier this year, the team decided to show their appreciation by customising a range of jackets to sell to their customers, with a contribution made to ACT after every sale.
The employee, who suffered a brain aneurysm earlier this year, was treated on NCCU initially, and then transferred to Norwich and Norfolk Hospital to continue his recovery.
Toby Harvey and Bill Dunham, both from FlexiTog visited the NCCU at Addenbrooke’s recently to express the company’s thanks for the care received by their colleague and friend.
Charlie Briston, Sales and Marketing Manager at FlexiTog said: “An amazing and dedicated team worked around the clock to ensure the best available care was given to our colleague. Due to all the efforts made by the team of the NCCU, we are pleased to say the member of staff is now on the road to recovery.”
Carla Brown, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT) said: “Businesses are becoming more and more innovative with ways of fundraising which help to involve their customers, suppliers and the wider community. It is great to hear from businesses far and wide that have been touched by Addenbrooke’s and want to make a difference to patient care.”
