Fen Technology is an electronics design consultancy that specialises in designing a diverse range of IoT hardware and software solutions. At the event, Fen Technology’s clients will be discussing their displayed IoT and wireless technology products – with some live demonstrations – providing practical insights into the product development process by openly discussing the development work carried out by Fen Technology’s experienced engineers.
The event will focus on End-to-End IoT, Wireless Communications, Instrumentation, Wearables, Automotive, Industrial and high-power electronics. Examples of IoT devices exhibited at the event include a robotic lawnmower, real-time responsive flood-detection sensors, a mobile critical care monitoring device and more.
Patrick Nicholson, Managing Director of Fen Technology says: “For decades, our engineers have beenquietly solving complex product challenges with cutting-edge electronics solutions at all stages of the product lifecycle. We have a huge wealth of experience and know how valuable it can be to talk through your electronics-based innovation challenges in a relaxed, informal environment.
“For the first time, we are bringing together our clients, suppliers and providing access to our most senior engineers to help demystify the design development process for Cambridge businesses that are looking to create or iterate their own IoT device solutions.
“By taking such a transparent, practical and business-first approach we hope to attract interest from Cambridge and East Anglia’s diverse array of technologists and entrepreneurs operating in the IoT space or keen to develop ‘smart’ connected devices.”
Ciaran McAleer, Director and Co-founder of Fen Technology says: “IoT-based projects represent a major share of the electronics development work carried out by Fen Technology, and is an area we rooted ourselves in at the business’s inception in 2002.
“Our clients come to us with, often, complex business challenges and research-based concepts of solutions they wish to test in development. We are passionate about applying our deep electronics specialism to produce highly differentiated, smart solutions, whether software or hardware, which are frequently sector-leading.”
Fen Technology was acquired by Inspiralia, a €21m product development consultancy headquartered in Madrid, Spain earlier this year. The deal bolstered the group’s technical product development offer, both in scope and depth. Fen Technology has huge ambitions in the UK and across Europe and is now increasing its profile, especially in the IoT space.
