"The award as 'JUVE Law Firm of the Year for IP' is not only a great honour but also a testament to the expertise and tremendous passion with which our team advises clients on IP matters," commented Dr Gisbert Hohagen, partner and head of the German Patents Technology & Life Sciences Practice Group, further adding: "This success will spur us on to continue providing excellent legal advice to our clients." Taylor Wessing triumphed over Bardehle Pagenberg, DLA Piper, JBB Rechtsanwälte and SKW Schwarz.

The JUVE editorial team awarded firms that are developing particularly dynamically in trade mark, patent and competition law. Taylor Wessing's recognition is attributed to its involvement in high-profile litigation, the support of high-calibre clients in contract drafting and portfolio management as well as the strategic development of its personnel.

The annual JUVE Awards recognise law firms or teams that have stood out as particularly dynamic due to their activity and market position over the past twelve months - taking into consideration both young and promising entities as well as long-established players. In addition to professional excellence, the editorial team pays particular attention to recommendations relating to the strategic and service orientation as well as future potential of the players.

Awards were given in a total of 18 categories, 15 for law firms and three for in-house legal departments. Five nominations were made in each category beforehand. The winners, as well as the reasons for their nominations, were announced at the awards ceremony. This year, Taylor Wessing was not only nominated as "Law Firm of the Year for IP" but also in the category "Law Firm of the Year for Employment Law".
