Key role for Mills & Reeve’s new office ‘ambassador’

Leading national law firm Mills & Reeve has named a new head of its 300-strong Cambridge office tasked with driving further growth in East Anglia.

Ian Mather takes on the newly created role with immediate effect and will look to build further on the firm’s existing relationships within the region.

He said: “This is a significant step by the firm to concentrate substantial time and effort into how we can engage even more in the region. Mills & Reeve is an ambitious law firm which has a lot to offer in this marketplace and our upcoming move to Botanic House clearly demonstrates our long term commitment to Cambridge and the wider region.”

Ian is well known in the business community having worked in Cambridge for many years. He is a partner in the employment team and advises many of the leading companies in the region and beyond.

Guy Hinchley, the firm’s managing partner, added: “Ian is committed to championing the Mills & Reeve name and spreading some of our infectious ambition to other like-minded businesses. We are regarded by many commentators and legal directories as leaders in this region. We believe Ian’s appointment, with the support of our large team in Cambridge, will help us expand even further.”
