James Bolton, Managing Director, said, “since we went into lockdown we have had virtual team meetings every day and one of the things that often came up was around walking – either encouraging the team to do so or sharing stories of walks the team had been on. This gave us the idea that we should put some of the miles to even better use and raise some vital funds for local charities. We understand how hard-hit charities have been in the wake of the current crisis and we are looking forward to playing our part and giving something back.”
The EBCam team has so far covered over 500 miles of the 1,748-mile trip and has set themselves a challenge of completing it by 4th July. If the team do complete their walk before hand then they will continue walking, trying to possibly walk the distance from London to New York, in a nod to Independence Day on the day they complete the challenge.
The team of 8 people are sharing their photos and distances on a weekly basis and are asking for donation via their fundraising page. EBCam has also agreed to match fund every £1 raised up to a maximum of £1000.
