The event is the latest example of the Network’s ongoing response to the coronavirus lockdown, during which it has also arranged a diverse suite of popular webinars designed to keep members stimulated, motivated and connected.
The ambitious Jobs Fair has so far attracted more than 300 candidates. They have signed up to hear presentations, in a series of online sessions, from the exhibiting companies:
- AVEVA
- Collabora
- Sartorius
- European Bioinformatics Institute - EMBL - EBI
- Bridge Partners & Bridge Fibre
- Cambridge City Council
- PA Consulting
Job seekers will have the opportunity to ask questions through an online chat facility, and the Cambridge Network team will be able to forward candidate profiles to hiring companies.
The event will also include short presentations from recruitment experts. As well as providing a market overview and a look at the current environment for job searchers, they will offer valuable advice on LinkedIn profiling, cover letter writing and video interviewing.

Claire Angus, head of Cambridge Network's Recruitment Gateway, says: "We are excited to be able to bring candidates a whole day of virtual job searching and careers sessions. Join us for the whole day or just join the sessions that interest you most!
"Examples of the roles that will be up for grabs include account management, data science, software engineer, financial accountant, workplace administrator, project lead, service desk team leader, customer support – plus many more. People who have signed up for the event will receive Zoom links to each of the sessions, morning and afternoon."
