Murray Edwards College is celebrating an important milestone in its thriving conference and events business.

Murray Edwards College, founded over 60 years ago to provide education for outstanding women, is marking 20 successful years of running ‘New Hall Events’, its commercial arm operated as a limited company.

Over the period, hundreds of events have been hosted at the venue, ranging from residential conferences, Summer schools, one-day meetings and dinners. The College’s facilities have become popular with clients from a wide range of sectors looking for self-contained conference centres such as the Kaetsu Centre and Buckingham House. The Dome Dining Hall has also proved an exciting space for Christmas Parties and Weddings, whilst the smaller Fellows’ Dining Room with its adjoining space for pre-dinner drinks has been ideal for smaller gatherings.

Chris Pope, General Manager of Conferences, Catering and Residences said: “Our 20-year milestone is an important occasion and a good moment to reflect on how our offering has evolved over the years. By listening to feedback from our customers we have been able to adapt our product to meet new requirements. “These include state-of-the-art AV, healthier refreshment break options, more vegan choices and a commitment to adding value, whether it is using our wonderful gardens or adding a private tour of the New Hall Art Collection which is the second largest collection of works by female artists in the world.”

Murray Edwards College, located in ten acres of peaceful gardens, has two dedicated conference centres, providing flexible meeting space for a wide range of conferences and events. With free car parking on site, it offers 162 modern en suite bedrooms during the vacations, in addition to 12 in The Kaetsu Centre.
