PCME celebrates third Queen’s Award success

PCME was honoured to receive the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category from Mrs Julie Spence OBE QPM, Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire, at a special presentation ceremony held at PCME’s Headquarters in St Ives, Cambridgeshire.

The Award is in recognition of the development and subsequent success of the company’s in-stack particulate emission measurement range of products designed specifically for monitoring wet flue gases from industrial processes.

The Lord-Lieutenant and Clerk to the Lieutenancy, Mrs Gillian Beasley OBE toured PCME’s Research and Development and Production areas, where members of the team described and demonstrated some of the latest particulate emission monitoring technologies and projects.

It is the third Queen’s Award for Enterprise for PCME and their second success in the Innovation category, first won in 2007 followed by an International Trade category award in 2013.

Speaking after the ceremony, Managing Director, Chris Shelley said: “We were delighted to welcome the Lord-Lieutenant to PCME and honoured to receive a Queen’s Award.  PCME has been a pioneer in air quality technology since its inception in 1990.  This award inspires us to continue to innovate and help people around the world breathe cleaner air.”
