PEM embarks on Three Peaks Challenge in aid of the PEM Charitable Trust

PEM embarks on Three Peaks Challenge - group shot

PEM, a leading independent firm of accountants, tax, and business advisers in Cambridge, is gearing up for an awe-inspiring adventure on June 21, as 35 of their brave employees and 6 volunteer drivers take on the monumental challenge of conquering the Three Peaks Challenge. This extraordinary endeavour aims to raise vital funds for The PEM Charitable Trust, furthering their mission to support local Cambridge charities, both big and small.

The ambitious journey will see PEM’s team scaling the towering peaks of Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon, all within the span of a single day. But this isn’t the first foray into adrenaline-fueled fundraising…Every two years, the firm’s employees eagerly take on a new sporting challenge, with the sole aim of maximising contributions to The PEM Charitable Trust. Past endeavours have included the gruelling Three Piers Challenge in 2022 and the unforgettable trek along Hadrian’s Wall in 2018.

Established in 2019, The PEM Charitable Trust has emerged as a beacon of hope for countless local initiatives, having already donated an impressive £21,000 to various Cambridge charities since 2019 such as Blue Smile, Cambridge Acorn Project, Kings Hedges Guides, Cambridge Rape Crisis Centre and so many more. Undeterred by challenges, PEM is committed to raising funds and aims to surpass this milestone, with a goal of giving out 150 donations by the end of 2025!

“We are thrilled to embark on this journey as part of our efforts to fundraise for the PEM Charitable Trust” said Amy Hayden, ESG and Community Lead at PEM. “Our dedication to supporting the local community runs deep, and we see this challenge as a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.”
