Property developer Jaynic has moved its headquarters offices to The EpiCentre in Haverhill. Jaynic’s team of 10 staff are taking 550 sq ft of space on the third floor of The EpiCentre.

‘It feels like we are coming home’ says MD Nic Rumsey. ‘Haverhill features large in our history. We created Haverhill Business Park bringing Percy Dalton, Terence Barker, HID, Culina, Buildbase and Stagecoach to the town. In addition, we built, owned and operated the Days Inn Hotel before letting it to Travelodge. We subsequently created Haverhill Research Park, facilitating The Flying Shuttle pub and building the Colourbox Montessori nursery.’

Working closely with West Suffolk Council and the Greater Cambridge Local Enterprise Partnership, Jaynic speculatively built the EpiCentre, managed by Oxford Innovation Space who operate many similar centres around the UK. Opening 5 days before the Covid Lockdown, it was a tough start. The centre now offers a range of spaces, offices and laboratories in a shared environment or private. All on very easy terms to allow flexibility, coming with inclusive business support.

The EpiCentre is now a well-established part of the Haverhill economy says Jaynic’s Office and Marketing Manager, Nicola Barber. “We are very much looking forward to being part of it and getting to know the other companies in the building,” she adds.

The innovation centre run by Centre Manager Andrew Bell has created a vibrant business eco-system now occupied by 30 companies.

Businesses located at The EpiCentre cover a broad range of sectors including, health-tech and life sciences, health and care support, gaming, software development and the wider business economy, all of whom share a common purpose – to drive their growth in the sectors in a collaborative, supportive and modern environment.

Andrew Bell, adds: “We welcome Jaynic to The EpiCentre and am sure they will benefit from the extensive facilities and networking events that are such an important part of the centre’s offer to its businesses.”
