Simon brings extensive project management experience, having worked as a network design engineer in the banking sector for Citibank and JP Morgan, followed by various architecture and design project management roles in the airline industry, including Luftansa and Cathay Pacific. The last couple of years have been spent working as a network solutions architect for New York University in Abu Dhabi and as an independent consultant for BT at Langley Park High School in Kent and Princess Noura bin Abdul Rahman University in Saudi Arabia.
Reporting into Rob Smith, Chief Operating Officer at Intergence, Simon, who will be based in the UK, said: “I am delighted to be joining the team at Intergence. I have worked on many challenging and complex projects often encompassing converging technologies such as data, voice and video over wired and wireless mediums and am look forward to sharing this expertise with Intergence’s clients.”
Intergence has made a number of senior appointments in the last few months, including ex – Deutsche Bank cloud expert, Alistair McLaurin. Commenting on this latest new appointment, Rob said, “In terms of scale and complexity, Simon has a proven track record. He has extensive experience working on many projects within a variety of different sectors including financial, education, airline, media, hospitality, petroleum and energy. He has also lead large teams and had technical authority for two global rollout projects for the airline industry. He will be a real asset to our senior consulting team and will play a key part in taking projects from inception through to operational handover.”
