Into Sport Group and Archery GB target coach education

Into Sport Group recently produced a series of nine educational videos for Archery GB to provide to their national network of coaches.

Led by Olympic Head Coach Lloyd Brown and Paralympic Coach Tim Hazell, the guides were shot on location at Archery GB’s high performance centre, Lilleshall.  They cover key technical points and best practice for coaches working at level 2 standard or above.

The videos are now live in the coaching section of the Archery GB website and are completely free to access.

The resources cover a range of essential skills such as stance, posture and string alignment, and also focus on strength and conditioning and injury prevention exercises.  The demonstrations on the day were carried out by Great Britain Olympic and Paralympic athletes including Becky Martin (pictured above).

Hannah Bussey, Coach Education and Development Officer for Archery GB, commented: “We are delighted with our new coaching resource videos and the feedback from our coaches has been excellent.  We now have a series of high quality video resources that we can deliver online to our coaches free of charge.

"Into Sport Group made the whole process really simple and the shoot day was extremely well led.  They were really responsive to our suggestions and edits and delivered back to us on time and on budget.”

Ben James, Partner Development Manager at Into Sport Group added: “We are really pleased to be working with Archery GB and excited to be supporting the development of Archery in the lead up to the 2012 games.

The coach development team recognised that video is an extremely versatile coaching tool and an asset to any coach education programme.  I think what we have produced will be of great benefit to the archery coaching community.”
