Hold a Simple Supper of salad, pasta or soup instead of your usual main meal – or as an alternative to dinner at a restaurant, and give £5 to help homeless people in Cambridge
Trade in your takeaway or give up the gateaux, serve a simple supper to friends, family or colleagues between March 5th and April 17th 2014 and raise money for homeless people across Cambridge.
How to hold a Simple Supper
- Choose a date
- Choose a simple meal such as soup, pasta or salad to serve instead of something you’d usually enjoy
- Donate £5 per person to Wintercomfort and help us to provide food and supportfor homeless people in Cambridge
Your supper can be as large or small as you wish. Perhaps you just want to sit down and spend time with your family; maybe you and your colleagues can forgo that delicious canteen lunch and take sandwiches outside for a change; or why not invite guests to a simple dinner party?
Make the most of your meal:
- hold a bring and share supper
- ask your guests to donate the cost of a bottle of wine
- calculate the rough cost of a treat you sometimes enjoy - a takeaway or a meal out at a restaurant - but stay at home and cook, and give the money to Wintercomfor
Once you’ve held your supper you can donate the money in a number of ways:
