The Telephone Number Company sold to tech service provider Chess

Birketts has advised The Telephone Number Company (TTNC) on their sale of 100% of their share capital to leading UK technology service provider, Chess, for an undisclosed sum.

Essex-based TTNC provide businesses with communications solutions including call tracking, call management, bespoke telephone answering services and VoIP services. Over the last 18 years, the business has developed a fully-resilient service delivery platform and unique cloud communication platform.

Chess is one of the UK’s leading independent and trusted technology service providers, with more than 20,000 clients and 300 members of staff. The organisations they support range from sole traders and small businesses up to UK-wide and multinational firms, as well as services specifically for the public sector.

Birketts’ team was led by Partner Seamus Clifford, with support from Solicitor James Stocker.
