The list of the next generation of cleantech growth companies, compiled by Cambridge Cleantech and KPMG, comprises those companies which have developed beyond the start-up phase and are showing real growth against a range of criteria, from year-on-year revenue growth to higher staffing levels and internationalisation.
Cambridge Cleantech CEO, Martin Garratt comments: "We have supported many start-ups in the cleantech sector, but we also wish to provide support to the next generation of growth companies that are showing real potential. One of these might become the ‘next ARM’ of the Cambridge Cluster.”
Craig Bennett, CEO of Friends of the Earth (pictured), will headline the conference on Connected Cities on 14 June 2016. He is joined by other keynote speakers, Matthew Bell, CEO of the Committee on Climate Change, and Professor Colin Lizieri, Grosvenor Professor of Real Estate at the University of Cambridge.
Conference delegates will also hear from Johnson Matthey and Anglian Water Group about their innovation needs and then from innovative start-up companies, keen to satisfy those needs.
There will also be a Smart Communities session opened by Cambridge MP Daniel Zeichner and a session on international best practice in the development of cities, featuring speakers from Rotterdam, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
The Conference takes place from 9.30 -17.00 on Tuesday 14th June 2016 at The Trinity Centre, Cambridge Science Park, CB4 0FN.
