Why aren’t employers and candidates finding each other? Recruiters - help us find out

Here at Cambridge Network, we want to be doing everything we can to help recruiters to find the right candidates, but before we can do that, we need to know what needs fixing.

Reflecting on recent conversations with members, we are noticing that both employers and candidates are having a tough time in the post-pandemic job market. Candidates are actively looking for new roles, sending out lots of applications and hearing nothing back – while employers are reporting frustration at not finding the right skilled candidates for their jobs. There are few ‘perfect matches’.

We’ve asked a couple of local experts to help us with this research - Katherine Wiid, Recruitment and Retention Coach from Recrion, and Kelly Drewery, Business Psychologist at Talent Glue. They have created a short survey to gain some insights on what is currently happening in the job market and will help us to make some practical meaning from the results.

Your opinion really matters to us, so we’d really value a few minutes of your time to complete the survey, which you can access via this link  Is-recruitment-broken?

As a thank you for completing it, we are giving away two offers in a prize draw:

·        A free exhibition slot at any virtual job’s fair in 2022

·        A free featured job for a month*

Many thanks for your time and contributing to this business community research.

*Note - the free featured job for a month prize is only available to companies with RG access.
