Wintercomfort attempt to Clip 'n Climb Mount Everest!

Team of staff and people supported by Wintercomfort climbing at the Clip 'n Climb arena.

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week (13th-19th May), and the theme this year is ‘movement.’ We all know how important physical activity is for our mental wellbeing and at Wintercomfort we offer many opportunities for people to take part in sport and recreational activities.

As part of this, and to raise money for our Social Inclusion Programme, on Wednesday a group of ten staff and people supported by Wintercomfort attempted to Clip 'n Climb the height of Mount Everest.

It was an extremely tough challenge and although we didn't reach the summit, we collectively climbed over 1,344m, proudly beating our Ben Nevis target from last year.

More importantly, it was a brilliant opportunity for people to be involved in an activity that would not usually be available to them, get active and ultimately have lots of fun, supporting one another and cheering each other on.

Our JustGiving page will be open until the end of next week if you would still like to show your support and help us hit our target.

The money raised will go towards our Social Inclusion Programme which provides many activities for people to learn new skills, build confidence and make positive relationships in the wider community.
