Wintercomfort thanks Anglia Girl Scouts

Members of the Anglia Girl Scouts Junior Troop 72 visited Overstream House on 25 July to deliver clothes they collected at a recent clothing drive.

As part of their Bronze Award project, the girls held a fashion show at RAF Lakenheath. They chose to donate the collected clothing to four charities, ensuring they can help men, women and children of all ages.

We did this project to help people in need of new clothes. We all thoroughly loved doing it and hope we can do it again. I think that it is important to do this because it spreads awareness of people who are less fortunate.” Autumn Horner, aged 10

After a photo-shoot with the Cambridge News, service users helped the scouts carry in their clothing donations. The girls were treated to juice and home-made biscuits (thank you Food4Food) before heading off home.
