That’s why BDO Ireland turned to us to measure footfall at Dublin Castle during the latest New Year’s Festival Dublin. One of the largest New Year’s Eve parties on the island of Ireland, the festival was a thrilling countdown experience filled with family friendly public events and incredible music live performances that brought together locals and visitors from around the world in the heart of the city. BDO has been working with Fáilte Ireland to assist them in measuring the impact of the New Year’s Festival and other festivals across the Island.
Our remote people counting solution computed the number of people each hour in Dublin Castle from 4am on 31st December 2024 until 3am on 1st January 2025, with an estimated accuracy of 99.73%. This gave detailed insight into attendance at both the 4-6pm matinee and the main event, all of which helped BDO and the New Year’s Festival to better measure success and improve decision-making around future events.
Austin Hickey, Director, BDO noted “BDO was delighted to be able to engage Yellow Sub AI to support us on this project. The fact that Yellow Sub AI can deploy its technology remotely, without requiring any input or involvement from the festival operators or impacting on the event, was for us a key differentiator from other solutions in the market.”
“Organisers need to understand footfall to assess the success of their events, demonstrate value, and improve them going forward. That’s difficult to do accurately with traditional people counting hardware, particularly at temporary venues which need to be set up and taken down quickly,” said Justin Staines ジャスティン・ステインズ, Yellow Sub AI. “As the New Year’s Festival Dublin shows, our technology overcomes this challenge – giving granular insights without impacting anonymity or requiring equipment to be installed.”
Want to get insights into footfall and spending patterns at your next event? Whether it is in a stadium, park, or open space anywhere in the world, Yellow Sub AI can deliver accurate, comprehensive data - without requiring any hardware and preserving anonymity.
