Farm to Table Sensing Technology

Modern sensor technology is having an increasingly positive impact on all stages of food production from agriculture through animal welfare and veterinary medicine to food quality control and pathogen detection. Technologies employed range from hyperspectral imaging using drones to inground sensors for water and soil nutrients to Point-of-Care sensors for identifying pathogens in animals and food. Data analysis is utilised for imaging, IoT networks, with AI and Blockchain fulfilling essential roles. The control of the impact of agriculture and food production on the environment are now recognised requirements where sensors play an essential role.

Farm to Table Sensing Technology Conference

The global market for biosensors in Food &Agriculture is forecast to reach $12.4 bil by 2030 (Insight Ace Analytics), placing it as the second most important application for this technology (Glucose sensor 2030 market forecast $33 bil). Why doesn’t the application of sensors in the food chain receive wider attention?

The Farm to Table Sensing Technology Conference will take place in virtual space each day 11-13 July 2023 from 10:00 am to 6:00pm (GMT) and will highlight developments in the application of sensor technology in the food production chain.  Topics covered will include:

Crop Monitoring Food Pathogens
Animal welfare Water contaminants
Veterinary medicine Environmental monitoring
Blockchain of food AI in food sensing

Papers are invited on the above and related topics.  Send 200 word abstracts to sfa23@sensor100.com.
Deadline 12 May 2023.
