The Victor Phillip Dahdaleh Heart & Lung Research Institute (VPD-HLRI) is seeking a dynamic Building Services Supervisor to join our cutting-edge facility on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The VPD-HLRI is a collaboration between the University of Cambridge and Royal Papworth Hospital with an aim to improve cardiovascular and lung health for everyone, no matter where they live.

Your Role in Advancing Medical Science

As our Building Services Supervisor, you'll play a crucial role in supporting life-changing research by:

  • Orchestrating seamless building operations for the entire Institute.
  • Ensuring our state-of-the-art laboratories and Clinical Research Facility run like clockwork.
  • Collaborating with academia, industry, and healthcare partners to drive innovation.
  • Support the Building Services Manager in delivering a proactive and responsive technical service.

  • Troubleshoot complex building systems with surgical precision.
  • Inspire and guide our Building Services team.

Your Day-to-Day Impact

  • Coordinate maintenance programs with University Estates and subcontractors.
  • Oversee technical operations and step up as deputy Building Services Manager.
  • Champion health and safety compliance through risk assessments and safe practices.
  • Tackle major works and installations hands-on.
