The Department of Computer Science and Technology is an academic department within the University of Cambridge that encompasses Computer Science, along with many aspects of Engineering, Technology and Mathematics. We aim to be excellent in the research we do and actively promote collaboration to maintain the breath of our research. We now seek to appoint a new Finance Assistant to work alongside a part-time Finance Assistant, the Finance Manager and two Research Grant Co-ordinators.

The Finance Assistant will be involved in all aspects of finance for the Department. This will include invoice processing, managing expense claims, resolving supplier queries, bank transfers, and the reconciliation of the departmental credit cards. You will be expected to be the first point of contact for departmental staff with finance queries and give advice and guidance according to the financial procedures.

You will join us with experience of working in an accounts environment and educated to A-level or with a level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent level of practical experience. You must be able to demonstrate your excellent communication and organisational skills and be IT literate.

Though this is envisioned as a full-time role with the possibility of hybrid working, we will consider requests for flexible arrangements such as reduced working hours.
