Belbin publishes results of latest remote and hybrid working research

Belbin has published results of its latest research into remote and hybrid working

Cambridge-based Belbin Ltd, provider of the globally trusted gold-standard tool for developing high performing teams, has published the results of its latest research around remote and hybrid working.

Research results indicate that organisations may be overlooking the impact of remote and hybrid working on team engagement and organisational culture.

The landscape for remote working is changing. During the pandemic it very much came to the fore with workers being actively encouraged to work from home, and hybrid working was not prevalent.

Now employers are increasingly looking to move employees back to office based working with potential for a schism between employer and employee needs and objectives.

The research explores the impact of remote working for businesses across core aspects including: productivity, engagement and organisational culture, team and individual effectiveness, communication and the impact on new and established teams.

The research findings indicate that a successful hybrid working strategy must have team engagement at its centre, along with individual performance and engagement.

This is also the first study of this kind linking findings on remote and hybrid working to Belbin Team Roles.

The research results and findings are available to download for free from the Belbin website.
