South Cambridgeshire District Council has redesigned its head office ground floor with a vibrant, collaborative workspace for use by business professionals.

The area, called South Cambs Connect, has comfortable workstations, high-speed Wi-Fi, meeting pods and bookable meeting rooms which offer a productive spot to work, a meeting venue, and a chance to network with other local professionals.

The new co-working hub is designed to create a flexible, accessible environment where the local business community can thrive.

Cllr Peter McDonald, Lead Cabinet Member for Economic Development, said: “We understand that the way people work has changed dramatically in recent years, and we want to support our local business community by providing a professional and welcoming co-working space to collaborate as well as fuel creativity and connection. Located at Cambourne Business Park, South Cambs Connect is a versatile space which is free of charge to use until the New Year, making it easy for people to come along and give it a try as a perfect spot to nurture and expand professional horizons.”

The initiative is part of the District Council’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the local economy and is designed to offer the perfect hybrid-working arrangement as and when people need it.

So, whether you're looking for a peaceful place to work, a meeting room to hold client discussions, or simply an opportunity to network, the space is open as a modern, dedicated workspace environment.

The South Cambs Connect hub is driven by a key commitment within the District Council’s business plan, to help local businesses and economies grow across South Cambridgeshire and is part funded by the Rural England Prosperity Fund.

It is free to use until January 2025. People will be sent a survey and asked for feedback once they have booked to help the improve our offering.
