As part of its Wellness Programme, Domino Printing is encouraging employees to get involved by contributing to its new Yammer page called ‘Kindness Matters’, sharing stories and photos of how everyone should be kind to themselves and also giving a ‘shout-out’ to colleagues who have demonstrated acts of kindness.

The campaign is being led by the company’s cohort of Mental Health First Aiders who all trained with the mental health charity Cambridgeshire, Peterborough & South Lincolnshire Mind.

The MHFAs provide confidential, one-to-one support and advice to employees and raise awareness of other sources of help, as well as encouraging participation in initiatives to help mental health such as National Walking Month.

Sharon Budworth, Head of HR, UK & EMEA at Domino said: “Now, more than ever, we need to acknowledge the importance of good mental health. The world of work and our personal lives have changed dramatically because of COVID-19 and we have all had to adapt.

“At Domino we acted quickly to ensure all our employees had the right information and the right support needed to continue to work on site, to work from home, to deal with the pressure of childcare and home schooling, as well as the anxiety of having to self-isolate or look after poorly family members.

“We have seen so many acts of kindness over the past few months that we would like to recognise and celebrate these across Domino this week, in support of Mental Health Awareness Week. Our team of MHFAs are committed to providing support at this challenging time, giving our employees the opportunity to share their concerns.”

Anne Cato, a Domino MHFA, added: “Our role is more important than ever right now, with remote working, financial worries, health issues and most of all isolation. Sharing your thoughts – be they negative or positive – will help us all to realise ‘We are not all in the same boat right now but we are in the same storm’.”
