EnterpriseWOMEN is a specialised entrepreneurial learning programme designed to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit within the female research community through hands-on, practical learning experiences.

Hosted by Dr Ghina Halabi of the Judge Business School, Innovia Technology’s Dr Eve Robertson-Waters, Dr Olivia Pang and Lily Clarke joined Dr Cat Stace of o2h Discovery, Kuano, and Platform First, to share their experiences of going beyond convention in business model innovation with the 2024 cohort.

Cat Stace delivered an incredible session - she covered business models in innovation, the diversity within them, and their underlying processes. Our team were still talking about it a couple of weeks later! We then shared our first hand experiences of how working holistically can help entrepreneurs - and particularly those at the start of their journeys, to innovate, and challenge traditional models to reshape markets.

The Innovia Technology team were well placed to help. As an Innovation Consultant, Eve uses her experience of 5 years academic surgical training in the NHS to help a broad range of clients take their innovation problems back to basics, and apply a biomedical science lens. Having also trained as a doctor, Olivia applies her clinical experience and first principles scientific knowledge to innovation challenges across a wide range of sectors, from food and beverage and FMCG, to medical and consumer health. An experimental physicist by training, Lily now acts a client relationship manager for some of Innovia’s largest consumer health and FMCG clients.

Lily Clarke reflected on the evening: “We’re so pleased to have supported EnterpriseWOMEN. The talent in the room was incredible - attendees are looking at how they can visualise chronic pain for better communication between patients and HCPs, rechargeable batteries for implanted medical devices, next level cybersecurity consulting and agricultural robots! We’re looking forward to seeing how the women take their learning forward and develop and iterate their entrepreneurial ideas.”

Ghina Halabi added “Innovia Technology was hands down the perfect choice to deliver a workshop on breakthrough mindset and business model innovation. The insights and hands-on learning provided by Lily, Olivia, and Eve on adapting and innovating within diverse scientific and technical domains, exploring innovative alternatives, and challenging traditional business models were invaluable in helping EnterpriseWOMEN delegates future-proof their businesses.”
