Highworth Care Ltd currently employs three full-time staff, has seven carers on its books and is recruiting more. As an added benefit it has a license from the Home Office to bring staff in from all over the world to overcome the healthcare/social care staffing shortages in the UK.
The company is family owned and managed by Thabani Bafanah, who trained as an Oncology Therapy Radiographer (Radiotherapy) and worked at Addenbrookes Hospital for eight years before training to be a Management Accountant in the NHS healthcare sector.
Highworth Care Ltd provides personal home care for the sick and elderly supporting them with personal care, nutrition, medication and support giving them access to the surrounding community and its facilities. It also provides short-term respite care after patients come out of hospital or if family members are away or unavailable, as well as Live-In and Overnight Care.
Thabani says: “The EpiCentre is geographically very central for our services in the Anglia region, and it is a bonus to have the Cambridgeshire postcode.”
“The EpiCentre management has been very helpful, they loaned us furniture initially when we moved in and while our office was being prepared and did all they could to help. Nothing is too much trouble, if there are any snagging issues with the accommodation it is sorted out promptly and it is a real benefit having the reception facilities included in our package.”
Centre Manager, Andrew Bell, said: “We welcome Highworth Care to the Centre and are sure that the company’s homecare services will be a great boost to the region."
Highworth Care Ltd has grown by 300% in the last 12 months both in terms of clients being looked after, staff growth and income turnover.
The EpiCentre is managed by Oxford Innovation Space. Its UK network of innovation centres provides flexible, cost-effective office, lab and workshop solutions for over 1000 entrepreneurs, start-up & growing companies who need space and support to grow.
